Romances guys like?

Casablanca
House Of Flying Daggers
Roxanne
Groundhog Day

Titanic is OK - nothing like as bad as I feared, but there's a much better 2-hour movie in there somewhere.

Kissing Jessica Stein is a great movie about a woman who is in love with another woman and yet not at all physically attracted to her. It's a happy ending about falling out of love.

Crap. I forgot that one. That's probably the sexiest "non sex" film I've ever scene. And some of the dialog is fantastic.

(turns in man-card)

Dirty Dancing
Grease
(500) Days of Summer
Chasing Amy

(snatches back man-card)

TRUE LIES!

Ummm... Hmmm...

It Happened One Night
Some Like It Hot
Bonnie & Clyde
Back to the Future, Part III
Groundhog Day
The 40-Year-Old Virgin

Like many guys, I like romantic comedies which are presented from the man's standpoint. When Harry Met Sally, Swingers, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Annie Hall, are some of my favorites.

An exception would be Love Actually, just a really great movie about romance and Titanic. The romance in Titanic obviously wasn't designed to last forever even if both characters had lived. What I liked about it was how it completely set someone free.

Say Anything
Before Sunrise
Before Sunset
Singles
Chasing Amy
Adventureland
Lady and the Tramp
Dogfight
Rocky
Ladyhawke

^Doh! I can't believe we went in 3 whole pages before anyone remembered Rocky. Kudos, Vasquez Rocks.

I didn't much care for Adventureland though. I kind always felt like I was too old for it; like I've spent so much of my life making my own dumb, youthful romantic blunders and no longer have the patience to watch anyone else's.

Hubby and I like Moonstruck, starring Cher and Nick Cage--though neither of us is a huge fan of either of them. We really like the rest of the cast.

Hubby likes this flick so much, he bought it on dvd before we had a dvd player--and he just bought the deluxe version (on sale) "for me" because my mom wanted a copy--and he wanted the deluxe version. So he "justified" his buying it.

Before Sunrise
Lost in Translation
Moulin Rouge
Nick & Norah's Infinate Playlist
Titanic
The Last Kiss
Adventureland
I also thought The Time Traveller's Wife was pretty good.
