That "Choke on your ambition" line didn't bother me at all.
It's actually "be careful not to choke on your aspirations."

It isn't a big deal, but it is distracting. Why wouldn't Vader have said "We tracked you from the Rebel fleet." if that was the case?
From a certain point of view Vader is correct. Rebel transmissions were beamed to the ship Leia's ship was inside, making it but an escape ship as far as Vader is concerned.
I don't like retcons. It undermines the original work. Leia coming straight from a battlefield was clearly not the intent of that scene.
That depends on if you consider "Star Wars" or "The Star Wars Trilogy" to be the work in question. I lean towards the latter and the story is better for the twists and turns it took along the way. Obi-Wan was being intentionally misleading to push Luke into his "destiny," here we just have plain old inconsistencies that force the audience to justify it.Vader wasn't originally Luke's father either.
Long range transmissions can easily be jammed. Passing the information directly can not.Why would the Rebel Alliance be dumb enough to allow Leia so close to an impromptu battle in the first place? Jyn could have easily transmitted the Death Star to a Tantive IV that was some distance away from Scarif. The saga has featured transmissions between greater distance.

What versions are those? In all versions of the story that have made sense, Tantive IV has come into the situation at some point, gets the transmissions and barely escapes in front of Darth Vader's ship. And is then hunted down quickly by Lord Vader who shouldn't normally be able to track the ship through hyperspace, but not only does, but comes out of lightspeed right on top on the Tantive IV as it approaches Tatooine.
Nothing in that scene that negates it either, though; just watched EPIV last night and it checks out.Leia coming straight from a battlefield was clearly not the intent of that scene.
After the Falcon pulls up you just see a bunch of fighters (2 X-Wings, 2 A-Wings, 1 B-Wing & 1 Y-Wing) veer off and it cuts to a reverse shot of the fleet evading. I do recall an impact being described in the novelization, so perhaps that's what you're remembering?
