Is that a carbon freezing chamber near the end where Vader is marching towards a (presumably) defeated Krennic?
Wha? While I'm not the biggest expert on The Hunger Games to begin with, I really don't see Jyn as "Katniss in space." For starters, isn't Katniss supposed to be a teenager? Based on information regarding Jyn's age from the upcoming prequel novel Catalyst, I get the impression she is supposed to be around the same general age as Felicity Jones. The "Katniss in Space" heroine is obviously Disney trying to capture a demographic.
Jyn Erso is obviously "Katniss in Space" and Disney's attempt to capture that demographic.
Just as Ellen Ripley was also obviously "Katniss in Space" and Fox's attempt to capture the same demographic… it's just that it was 29 years before Katniss.
But Rogue One is a prequel. HahahaAwesome trailer and looks like a great, fun movie. Reading over negative comments on it between here and YT, I mostly see "Meninist" bullshit and griping. The movie looks full of action, character, drama and fun. Which is more than can be said about the prequels. Against female heroes in movies? Get over it, I welcome our new female overlords.
All I'm hoping for is for the female character to be better defined than what we've seen. Like Rey was in TFA. Jyn just hasn't been presented well in the trailers, in my opinion.Awesome trailer and looks like a great, fun movie. Not for me, any way. Rey felt like a person, while Jyn, thus far, feels very fragmented with no definable characteristics beyond what people say about her-rebellious, dangerous, hopeful.Probably because Rey was more easily categorized. All it took was one shot and we all knew she was gonna be the "Luke stuck in Tatooine" character.

It has nothing to do with being a woman or not. It has to do with her character.
Yes, it's VaderIn the shot of Krennic talking to a person in a black helmet, was that Vader or the Imperial we see standing at a control panel a little later. The backs of their helmets are pretty similar so I couldn't tell for sure which it was.
These are my impressions. I'm not anti-Jyn or rejecting the movie. She just doesn't interest me as a character as presented. I have no doubt that the trailers are not doing her justice-trailers are often terrible for that. Her character based on a few shots in the trailers? That's hardly fair, nor likely to be representative.
Don't tell me that you got an accurate sense of Rey's character from the TFA trailers because that's impossible. All we knew about her before the movie came out was "lonely scavenger girl, fangirling at Han Solo and running away from explosions." We weren't even certain at that point she'd be the force user of the film, let alone the main character.
Also, Rey was the main character. That whole movie was more or less about her, while Rogue One seems to be much more of an ensemble film.
