Roger Ebert's ST Movie History

I've just read his review for Star Trek and I was left wondering if he saw the same film as me. Not in his opinion as he is entitled to that, but it's factually wrong in places and regardless of how long he has written film reviews and how much money he gets for them, it just doesn't come across very well at all.

To Ebert's credit, he does have some screenwriting credits, including, unless I'm mistaken, Beyond The Valley of The Dolls.

Granted, that wasn't very good, and he would probably tell you so, but at least he has some credentials.

Bit generous with TMP, but otherwise I don't think they are too unreasonable. His justifications for some of them are a bit questionable.

He at least had the good sense to appear in the greatest TV series of all time. :)

Early Edition.

Garry's future newspaper tells him a kid will run away from his mother after seeing a sad ending to a movie. While he is trying to talk to the kid, he spots Roger Ebert coming out of the cinema and gets him to explain why the movie's writers killed off the cartoon bunny's mother.

I miss that show. :(
