I'm definitely interested in seeing this. A Roddenberry biopic would be interesting, too, but I imagine neither CBS nor Paramount wants a film about the creator of their Sacred Cow being made.
And who'd play Roddenberry? Philip Seymore Hoffman?

I started a thread about that not long ago on another BBS. My thought was Beau Bridges. Others suggested Nick Chinlund (who bears a fairly strong facial resemblance and is the right size) and Richard Kind (I don't see that one).
That may be my favorite choice so far. He's a rising star who wouldn't cost an exorbitant salary yet.Maybe James Franco as the young Serling?
If we were going for physical resemblance, the producers would probably just go ahead and cast Ed Wasser, but they'd obviously prefer (1) a better actor and (2) a more familiar name.

Zachary Levi. Far too tall, obviously, but otherwise he could get the right mix of uncertainty and buried self-belief.

Now Ed Wasser was my first choice, particularly given comments made by jms and having met Mr Wasser. But I haven't seen anything of him outside of B5. The rather slow somewhat deadpan delivery of Morden would lend itself well to the persona we saw of Serling on camera... but off camera i have no idea what Serling was like. Regardless, the physical resemblance is good enough that I'd at least like to see Wasser be given a chance to try out.
I'm not sure if I'd call him a rising star anymore. He's been nominated for an Oscar and hosted the ceremonies. He's everywhere right now.
