In the early 1970s, nerdy grad student Brian May was studying astrophysics when he decided to form a li'l band with Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury, called Queen. Needless to say, he put his degree on hold to become one of history's best-known musical groups.
And last week, he finally completed his Doctoral degree in astrophysics, studying orbital patterns of planets and celestial dust clouds. Talk about dropping out of school for a while! Kinda gives hope to the rest of us...
