http://www.space.com/entertainment/070824_brian_may.html In the early 1970s, nerdy grad student Brian May was studying astrophysics when he decided to form a li'l band with Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury, called Queen. Needless to say, he put his degree on hold to become one of history's best-known musical groups. And last week, he finally completed his Doctoral degree in astrophysics, studying orbital patterns of planets and celestial dust clouds. Talk about dropping out of school for a while! Kinda gives hope to the rest of us... Mark
Just incase anyone was like me at first, this is not the same Brian May who composed the Mad Max film scores (and passed away in 1993).
That's really awesome, and it gives me hope. I dropped out of astrophysics for a career in computers. I'd like to go back to it, though.
