OK So when its slow at work I play the "Where are the now" game. I look up shows on IMDB (I know not the best resource) And see what other show's poeple I know have done. Robert Duncan McNeill aka Paris has been in ST TNG for one ep. I thought it was interesting. And he Directed several eps of Enterprise. Now he's a Producer for Chuck.

well good for him! at least he not playing tom paris in other shows as making fun of trek like the TNG did.

He was also in the 'Masters of the Universe' move in the 80s when he was like 20. Not bad, I must say.

Yeah, I've heard he's doing some directing as well as the executive producer for Chuck. But I've also heard that Chuck is on the chopping list for May sweeps. Hopefully it'll be saved for his sake. ;) But I'm really glad he's doing alot of producing as well as directing. He's really come far since his pre-Voyager days. I read in a book about the Voyager cast that before Voyager he was on the verge of losing his house. Then Voyager came along and he had fulltime work for seven years. That's quite an accomplishment if you ask me!

It sure is a good thing for him that the producers decided no one could play the character but him, then. When they changed from using TNG's Lucarno to the almost exact same character Paris, they tried to find someone else who could do just as good of a job of portraying the character as him, since they didn't want to re-use an actor on a character just like his previous one. But in the end they decided McNeil was the only man for the job.

The best choice after all - why they had to change the name escapes me - continuity - who wants that?

(Yes I know it was a copyright issue - they didn't want to pay the author of the TNG epi . . . )

I hope it gets saved.

Tim Russ's show is on its way out... :(

Those eyes are creepy - but also cool. When I was in high school we watched a version of 'The Scarlet Letter' with her as Hester Prynne. She did a good job.

There was a version of Scarlet Letter with her as Hester? Maybe that'll cleanse my bad memories of the Demi Moore version...

Anywho, on to the topic at hand...

...Langella was AWESOME as Skeletor. Nearly made the thing worth watching.

*shudder*

The Meg Foster version is much more true to the novella.

I actually saw the movie before I'd ever seen the cartoon, so it took me a long time to understand what bothered everyone about it - other than the obvious.
