Spoilers Rob Zombie's Munsters Remake

The only significant problems I had with Rob's version -other than casting his wife as Lily- was that he had some bleeped out profanity and some sexual innuendos that don't belong anywhere in a Munsters movie, especially one he kept touting as a family oriented homage to the original.

I get that he thought these would go over the head of the kids, and their parents would "appreciate" the "humor" but IMHO he was dead wrong on that score.

But YMMV?

I've read that Rob Zombie wanted to do the movie in black and white but didn't because he felt it wouldn't sell either explicitly or from a gut feeling (it's a bit unclear in the ones I've seen). That Werewolf By Night did it so close to the release of the other makes for an interesting contrast.
