This news is breaking right now but it appears that Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were found dead in their home with knife wounds.

What a terrible tragedy. I just watched Misery the other week; he was a great talent as a filmmaker.

Supposedly Don Lemon (of CNN) has claimed the son was taken in for questioning by the police. Apparently there's a history of mental illness and drug abuse there.

I'm a massive fan of Reiner's films but especially The Princess Bride. I'm heartbroken by his and his wife's deaths.

Yeah. I'm seeing multiple reports now that their son Nick is a suspect and is still at large.

Yeah. Its being reported that he is now the prime. I suspect the reiners had security cameras. What a tragedy. Reiner brought a lot of great entertainment to generations over 50 years. All in the Family to directing excellent movies like The Princess Bride, Misery, A Few Good Men etc. This one was really shocking. Dammit. R.I.P. Rob and Michelle.

This is Spinal Tap, The Sure Thing, Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, A Few Good Men all in a row.

I haven't seen Spinal Tap II yet. This is gonna make it a more bittersweet watch that I was expecting.

Extremely sad news. I don't think a week goes by that I don't see a bit of AITF and I just recently Re-watched the princess bride and When Harry Met Sally. I'm sure most people see something that rob was either in or involved with on a frequent basis.

It's not relevant to anything, but it occurs to me that Reiner's directing career was bookended. Started with This is Spinal Tap, ended with Spinal Tap II: The End Continues. (Apparently with one more Tap concert film still to come.)

Reminds me of Martha DeLaurentiis, Firestarter (84) to Firestarter (22).
