Road to Nowhere

Yuri Nikolayev

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
Outside these windows is open space. So where TF does this corridor go? Any structure would be visible from at least two of the windows.

Yeah, it's one of the more fun whoopsies from season one. Even more fun was when people were walking straight ahead toward what would be the end of the corridor. Season 2 onward introduced the curved ochre-yellow mini-corridor that leads back to the bridge. :D

Granted:

Shows an interesting blueprint, with ramps and yet no room for a bathroom at either side -- what with windows appearing outside of the hull and all, anyone in the loo would have a primo viewing spot and with no worry of pesky neighbors trying to look in from outside.

It stops at a wall just beyond the edge of the doorframe? Maybe with a vending machine or potted plant standing there.

Except a couple of scenes have crewmembers striding confidently forward, at a pace that suggests the corridor goes for far longer than... the five feet that said corridor can't be any longer than. I try to pretend that there's a door at the far end/right-side that leads to - because, why not - a bathroom that happens to be well-stocked with all the amenities, including bismuth subsalicylate, loperamide hydrochloride, psyllium husk, and prune juice since I got bored of typing in TNG-style scientific names regarding treatments for digestive and tummy-tum-tum-related troubles.

The thing is though, that if you follow the curvature of the window wall, then any structure around such an elevator shaft or whatever is at the end of that corridor, would be visible from the windows.
