She definitely is a way underused character. Maybe they should make a series with Captain Chekote, Commander Shelby, and Lieutenant Commander Ro?

Chekote was an Admiral. Chakotay was a Maquis leader and Starfleet commander.

Ro wasn't revealed to be promoted to lieutenant until Preemptive Strike, after DS9 had already started.

Sisko has shown more tolerance for personalities than you guys give it credit in this thread. It's just when those personalities create professional problems like they did with Worf that he really dresses people down. Otherwise when it comes to his crew and friends he's a 'loyal at all costs' type of guy.

Ro would have likely been the Torres role had Forbes not turned down the offer. I could have never bought Ro and Paris though, she would have eaten him alive.

Had Ro gone onto VOY then I assume she'd be the one at the Conn.

Personally I can't believe Torres and Paris got together and he lived to tell the tale.

^I wouldn't be too displaced if Ro replaced Harry. It would have been neat seeing her recondition back to startfleet (again) and pitting her against Seska after the reveal.
