Requiescat in pace Sally, you were an inspiration to many little girls back in the 70's and 80's, you always stayed classy never holding back if your opinion was needed..
And it was used in several official investigations regarding Shuttle disasters..

I can't believe that was almost thirty years ago. It's wonderful to be able to watch history in the making, but kind of a drag when it actually becomes history. And even worse when you have to watch the history makers pass away. This was an ending that came much too soon.

I definitely looked up to her growing up. Part of it, and this is kind of silly, is that she went up in space only a couple days after my birthday. I just always felt connected and inspired. So sorry to hear about this.
