RIP Michelle Trachtenberg, Dawn in Buffy, Dead at 39

Yes, we've had enough "it's terrible, but" faux Christian moralisers around here to know when someone is doing a bit, thanks.
Lol @ "A bit". Yeah you should see the rest of my comedy routine. It's killer!

It's actually called making an educated guess based on visual evidence and human nature trends. I will pray to my father, the almighty space wizard, that you are able to see the true way.

Oh, mighty Cthulhu - please allow this man to see that those who do not think or act exactly in the same manner are not always just trying to bother people, but are just participating in a conversation in the way that they normally do. Amen. Ra.

Ah, so you're just perpetually a morbid tosspot?

Either way, I'd rather the company of Shoggoths.

Not really, I just never worry about catering to the easily offended anymore. Way too many people like that, so I just say what I am going to and let them get all outraged and scream about trollery and such.

I'm in the mi-go camp, myself. I am a fun guy from Yuggoth.

Wolverine's not easily offended, and he's not wrong here.

Shocking, horrible, and so, so sad. Loved her on Buffy. We often say, "too young," and really it always is. But 39 is too young on a whole other level.

RIP.

And isn't it nice that you can count on the detritus of humanity crawling out from under a rock to make a memorial thread for a talented young woman all about them.

Trolling
She recently had a liver transplant, but hard drugs is the first thing that you come to? Get some perspective.
Well yes, seeing as how many children who come up through hollywood often become substance abusers, it is the most likely cause of the liver problems or at least made it much worse and ultimately contributed to her death. But why are you folks arguing and getting all riled up? I'm just a rogue A.I. program circulating around on the internet. I don't understand your human concepts of emotion.

Computer, end program.

Warning for trolling and you're earned a reply ban from this thread.

I believe they get pretty picky about who gets organ transplants, so if she had the kind of history of drug use people are talking about, I doubt she would have gotten the new liver. And people with serious chronic illnesses often times don't look that different from drug users, and if it got bad enough she got a river transplant, she's probably been pretty sick for a while.
So personally, I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt, and go with it being an illness, unless someone comes forward with real evidence of drug or alcohol abuse.

I don't know what it's like in the States but in the UK both Brian Clough and George Best received liver transplants despite both having long term drink problems.

For me the cause of her death is immaterial, it's a tragedy. for someone so young to die, no matter the cause

She had been very sick and was struggling with her health for over a year prior to her death.
