RIP Leonard Nimoy

Farewell Mr. Spock. I hope your journey to the Undiscovered Country is a good one. You lived long, prospered and touched so many lives.

So sad to hear this.

"Of my friend I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most ...human" (Kirk about Spock in Star Trek II)

I feel like I lost a close friend.

My deepest condolences to his family. My heart and thoughts are with you.

How sad, not only for us but for his family and friends as well.

How interesting to think about how the show was cast. Spock was the intellectual and so was Nimoy. Having read so much about the show and movies, Nimoy was always protective of Spock but offered very intelligent comments and criticisms to make everything he was involved with so much stronger.

Much like Kirk/Shatner, Spock/Nimoy were the perfect combination of character and actor.

We really should be very grateful for all he's given us and grateful to the Abrams movies for showcasing Nimoy to a younger generation.

This.

I think it should also be noted that he had a very respectable career outside of Trek, too.

There were probably other actors who could've played the character comparably, but I don't think, especially given the time, many would've done so with the same considered approach that Nimoy took. He took the character seriously when it would've been so easy not to.

He was one of a kind and he definitely lived long and prospered.

Rest in peace Leonard Nimoy.
We will remember you.
And what you have contributed to Star Trek will never be forgotten.

Just said to my brother a few weeks ago, when we were talking about people/characters who had an impact on our life, that it would hit me hard if Nimoy died...

RIP.

Definitely. Very well said.

RIP Mr. Spock/Mr. Nimoy. Thanks for all that you have done. And condolences to his family and friends.

Rest In Peace, Leonard Nimoy. You've entertained and inspired me ever since I was 3 years old. Thank you for all your hard work, and all the memories.

Trying my best not to cry. Listening to this makes it harder to not become overwhelmed.

He was, and shall remain, a man of great dignity and class.

Thank you, Mr. Nimoy, for all you've given us. Whatever sincere gratitude we have expressed to you over the years is still inadequate.
