RIP Harry Harrison

Very sad to hear it. I worked with Harry on several projects, including "The Hammer and the Cross" trilogy and always found him a pleasure to work with. And "Deathworld" is a great book as well.

The "Stainless Steel Rat" series was a favorite of mine when I was a teen.

He will be missed.

I have loved the Deathworld books for years. Sorry to hear of the passing of such an enjoyable author. RIP

I'm kind of surprised that there is no Stainless Steel Rat movie.

The Stainless Steel Rat is one of those properties that's been optioned and in development forever, but has yet to actually make it to the screen. I'm not sure who has the rights these days.

Hollywood knows about it. They just haven't gotten around to making it yet.

I read at least the first one in high school and remember liking it, though I honestly don't recall a detail... RIP.

The fantasy ending was a downer, but this was a fascinating read.

No fans of his dinosaurs trilogy?
