RIP Frank Cady

Frank Cady, best known as "Sam Drucker" on the trilogy of rural shows - The Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, and Green Acres - has passed away at the age of 96.

I loved everything I saw him in. Even the "weaker" episodes of those series were just that much better when he showed up.

RIP, Frank, and thanks for the laughs!

Only 96? Man, he looked like he was in sixties or seventies back when those shows were first on the air.

Put him on the list of people I already thought had passed on.

He was a great straight man on Green Acres I know some might think Mr.Douglas was the straight man but come on he farm in a 3 piece suit and music started playing when he made a speech,Mr.Drucker was clearly the only sane one in Hooterville.

Easily done, after all, since Mr. Cady was in When Worlds Collide. He played the seemingly mindless flunky who turns on the millionaire (played by John Hoyt as I recall,) at the last minute. Mr. Cady looked maybe in his fifties then! It's the baldness mostly.
