RIP Don Haskins

Don Haskins, legendary basketball coach at Texas Western University, later University of Texas at El Paso has passed away.

Haskins will probably be best remembered for winning a national title in 1966, beating Kentucky by starting 5 black players.

When asked about it, Haskins said that he was only putting his best players on the floor.

RIP to a pioneer.

Thanks for posting this. I had made a mental note last night to do it myself, but didn't get around to it until now. That doesn't matter, though. What does is that someone remembers a gutsy and talented man.
