Rio de Janeiro wins 2016 Olympics

On another (but sorta similar) note, I hope England gets the World Cup in 2018. It just seems to fit since they've got the Olympics in 2012, and a World Cup in England would be insane.

For equality sake, now the two remaining continents that haven't had an olympics will get attention - say Nairobi 2020 for the summer games and Antarctica would be a natural for the winter games.

Don't forget that Scotland already has the Commonwealth Games in 2014. :bolian:

And England also have the Rugby World Cup in 2015 too. :D AND the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019.

As for the Topic... [sings]When my baby smiles at me, I go to Rio... de Janeiro.... [/sings]

Antarctica for the Winter Games? :guffaw: I'd like to see the athletes get chased by polar bears, freeze their asses off playing outdoor ice skating.

I'd like to see that in the Antarctica Games too, especially as Polar Bears are typically Arctic creatures. :)

Although they have been known to appear in the South Pacific on occasion. :shifty:

Oh. Kay. Excuse me, substitute polar bears with penguins. :o I know there aren't any reptiles (native) in Antarctica.

Athletes chased by killer penguins? :guffaw: Now I would definitely pay to see that.

But wait until authorities in the IOC have to deal with Latin America's definition of scheduling - I'll be right there means anytime today. Timetables are mere suggestion.

A healthy lifestyle but maddening to type A folks.

You have NOOOOO idea....lol Then again, maybe you do!

All I can say is I'm sure the Women's Beach Volleyball games will be FAR FAR better to watch in Rio than in Chicago... :)

Cheers,
