Survey time, are you right handed, left handed or true ambidextrous (as in you can write with both hands equally as well).

I personally write right handed, although I use my left hand for most day to tasks, including opening doors, stirring food, drinking and throwing. I am also left eye dominant and when I first picked up a pen I wrote and drew left handed. Somewhere along the line though I ended up switching to right handedness, although it took several years for me to improve my handwriting and accuracy with a pen.

So I guess you could apply cross dominance to me as the correct terminology., since I use a mouse right handed and play guitar right handed, but thats about it

Right handed here. What is it, 10% of the population is left handed? Cannot remember. I did know someone who was truly ambidextrous; fantastic athlete.

^ I think it actually varies by country\region. North America is definitely in the 10% range.

And right-handed, here.

Lefty.

I use my mouse with my right hand though, just can't do it with my left for some reason.

Right handed.

I usually use my right hand for most things, but when it comes to eating with a fork and knife, I use the left hand for the knife and right hand for the fork. It has come to my attention that this is not the "proper" way to use a fork and knife, but to me it's just natural to eat with my right hand, and therfore the fork goes into the right hand.

Me too, I write, and use utencils with my left hand, but pretty much everything else I do right handed.

I'm pretty much right handed. The left hand is good for some things, though, like typing on the left side of the keyboard. :rommie:

A righty here too and no matter how hard I try, my handwriting is horrible. So happy most things are typed these days.

Right-handed. My girlfriend is a lefty. Strangely the only thing I do left-handed is swing a baseball bat or golf club. But I haven't done either one of those in years so I am good.

:rommie: When I first saw this thread I totally thought this poll/thread was about what side we carry :rommie:

Right, btw, also the other thing.

Left-handed for writing. As with the most of the other lefties I do use my right with my mouse, also wear my watch on my left. That's only annoying if I have to write a lot by hand, so I'll remove my watch if I have to do that. I'm also a right footed kicker and I'm also primarily right handed with the bat or club.

. . . So I guess you could apply cross dominance to me as the correct terminology. . .
That sounds kinky.

Carry what?

I thought it was going to be a political thread.

I’m a southpaw from a family of southpaws. My brother and I and both parents — all lefties. I write, throw, use tools, hold a dinner knife, and use the mouse with my left hand. About the only things my right hand is good for are shifting gears and wiping my butt.

Right-handed. My brother's ambidextrous but slightly more left than right - it's a bit creepy though because his handwriting is identical with both hands. Grandpa and a cousin are southpaws.

I can write with my left hand, although it looks nowhere near as fluid as with my right.
