The concept art work has been pretty sweet so far. I'm revising my 2012 date thing now..it's getting down to crunch time. I think this will probably be scheduled for spring 2013.

The article also notes (i can't remember now if we made a point of mentioning this before) but the film seems to be titled The Final Stand of Riddick. Had no idea about these troubles until coming across this article.

Okay. Looks like they've secured funding and will resume filming Dec 28th.

Funny how hard it is for certain movies sequels to get made, Raimi and Romero have had to fight way too hard for their sequels and now maybe we can add Diesel to the list.

I sort of liked Katee Sackhoff in BSG but I think adding her to Riddick would just be a mistake. Her acting really isn't spectacular and this film needs a solid cast to carry its weight ...

They aren't adding her for her acting ability. She is being added for the fanboy joyasms of seeing her on screen with Vin. This is a very calculated move to capitalize on her sci-fi credit and fanyboy geekouts.

I'm already a huge fan of Pitch Black and the Chronicles Of Riddick, so I was looking forward to seeing this, anyway. The fact that Sackoff is in it is just the icing on the cake for me.

This is another film I'm glad is getting made.
He really is the best promo department any film needs.
He should get paid just for that as well.
Now if I can get another XXX, Jumper and Ghostbusters movie, not reboots, that would also be nice.
