Mmm.

If you don't like his writing, fair enough. A lot of people do, and some people don't. Personally, some bits in his so-called romantic comedies are a bit twee or cheesy for my taste, while some of the comedy, especially BlackAdder, Mr Bean and The Boat That Rocked, is damn funny.

But I think as a person, from what I've seen in interviews and similar, he seems like a personable and witty guy. YMMV.

Yes. Also, whenever I see him, he seems unbearably smug and pleased with himself.

But, for clarity, I wouldn't actually push him off a cliff. I'd be much too frightened of getting caught.
