Richard Anderson is going to pop up in sgu

Since the new crew will basically be reenacting Lost In Space/Star Trek: Voyager, we shouldn't be seeing any cameos from the SG-1 gang past the first episode.

Jack was rarely serious even on the best of occasions, he was always about 10% serious about everything.

Being pedantic again I see?

You need to go back and watch early SG-1.

Then compare it to Jack from the rubbish of the last few years.

You need to, to see that he wasn't spouting one liners in those final two seasons, he wasn't there to do it anyway.

Yep you're being pedantic, and have no idea what you're talking about.

Compare early Jack to late Jack and you'll see it. Just try.

I bet a lot of us thought the same thing at the beginning of Atlantis. Then guess what? They reestablished contact with Earth!

Especially since Jacks been running the whole thing since season 9 os SG-1.

Yeah the character's role changed greatly ever since the Stargate Command arc. Jack is no longer the shoot em up wise guy, ok he throws some jokes every once and a while but he has more a General Hammond role (r.i.p) than Jack's old smartass who we remember from SG1

SGU's Earth is definitely an episode worth checking out

some spoilers for "Earth" in case you missed it

At least Atlantis kept them off on their own for the entire first season--right up to the final few episodes of that very same season.

SG:U has them visting home through the magic rocks and chatting it up with their loved ones in every ep so far. So much for being on their own....

They were never going to be on their own in that regard, but still there's nothing they can get from earth.

How about some technical and scientific advice from the greatest minds on the planet? Hey, then we can have a cameo with Rodney!

I think Rodney's alittle busy maybe they could get Felger or Will Nye. ;)

I'd like to see Felger (and Coombs) again. But I'm probably one of a very small minority that enjoys "The Other Guys" and "Avenger 2.0." But, then again, I'm a big fan of The Red Green Show, so how could I not like it when Patrick McKenna shows up?

Haha. Win.

I liked "The Other Guys", but "Avenger 2.0" was very average. I think they were just trying too hard.

What happened to shanks cameo in SGU ?

He was in the pilot and will appear in a later episode.

Don't forget Bill Lee! The hardest working man in the SGC.

I am pretty indifferent to the idea of Jack showing up every once in a while. For me I stopped really caring if RDA was around after season 6 of SG1.

I do think it adds a bit of continuity to the Stargate universe to have Jack appearing occasionally.

Richard Anderson? The original Oscar Goldman? Who's going to tell Jim Carrey's Six Million Dollar Man what to do then?
