Reworking "Return To Tomorrow" for Next Gen...?

Rewatching The original Series made me think ..."What if it was the Enterprise D that received the signal from the planet in "Return To Tomorrow"...? Which members of the crew would of been used ? Would Sargon occupy Riker's body (automatically assuming that Thalassa would occupy Troi's body?) ...and who would Henock occupy? ...Data? or perhaps someone else? This does sound a bit like the "Power Play" episode in a way. Thalassa occupying Guinan? heheh - that would be ...different.
This would place Picard in a position to speak for Humanity. That actually might be a good story.

Kick off the Worf/Troi relationship a little earlier.

Most in the medical profession might have reservations over knowing, regardless of how much or little of the innards, about using it. It's almost poetic.

Plus, the EMH sounded a lot more like McCoy and a lot more often too.
