Reminds me of Kirk.
Hugh is sad.The only "good guy" regular that I recall being killed off is Katrina Cornwall. In one of the most ludicrously stupid scenes in the history of the franchise. Door only locks on one side, no one tries to use the transporters to pull her out. They used the character up and then didn't care whether how she died made a lick of sense.
Hugh is sad.
He also isn’t dead.
I think you're taking something personally that was meant to be generic.
other Hugh
Well, for clarification I think that there are fans who are treating Lower Decks as that serious link between series rather than the comedy it is meant as.No, I’m just replying to you. I’m not taking anything personal.

Because it itself is not treating itself seriously. That is because CBS says it is canon, so why wouldn’t it be treated as a serious link between series?
Because it itself is not treating itself seriously.
Cool. So is TAS. I guess magic and the devil and a giant inflatable Enterprise are part of the grand Prime Timeline too. What does that matter? CBS has said it is part of the grand Prime timeline.
Yes...and?It is just funny the number of times I get busted in the virtual chops for treating Trek as a multiverse, complete with a chorus of “CBS says!”. Then watch those same folks go on about what they ignore to make the universe work in their heads.
Because it itself is not treating itself seriously.
I fully expect to see characters promoted "up and out" of the cast as time goes by. Reassignments happen, as promotions do.
Then I guess my view will change once I see the show.Mike McMahon has made it pretty clear that the show will be a comedy, but will take its place within the Trek canon respectfully and seriously.
I’ve been thinking about this for a few days.
As it’s an animated series, they can obviously go for a very long time without ever having to age the characters...
Universe is a big place, the Cerritos will simply be elsewhere.
