Update: Season 4 is on order and should be in a couple of days or so, then I can start reviewing again.
"Best Of Both Worlds" (Part II) *****
Riker takes command and looks for a way to beat the Borg before they attack Earth.
I think this works better now then when I first saw it twenty years ago. Riker goes for a different way to get at the Borg rather than head-on combat. Even the resolution works better because it makes sense (for me). Picard's bother and sister-in-law look a little old to have such a young son, but perhaps he's adopted. I do like the ending scene.
A good start to the season.
"Family" ***
While the Enterprise undergoes repairs the crew reconnect with family and home.
It isn't bad, some of it's okay, but it's rather tame after the season opener. This is the kind of thing we usually hear referenced as happening between adventures only here we actually get to see it. I could have done without it. I do like the ending scene.

Let it out, man. We've got you. It's one thing to seek someone out to talk about your feelings, but it's another for that someone to keep sticking their nose in your affairs unasked.
Season 4 arrived at the door about half an hour ago. Should have BoBW Part 2 reviewed sometime soon.
^^ Looking at the season ahead I'm not encouraged, but I'm committed to see what we shall see. There could be surprises.
That said only four episodes in and already the show is beginning to feel the way that no longer engaged me and wherein I drifted away.
