What we've both found lacking in most fanfilm critiques is the critique. Many of them just recap what happened, which is a summary, not a review. These films are labors of love, so a reviewer should find the line between being honest and being generous to a fault. I'm always going to err on the side of honesty as to if something works as a film narrative, so if it's clumsy or bad I'm not going to hesitate to say so. I think this first review does illustrate a fair and balanced approach...least I hope it does.
