Review that episode!

A nice little time story that keeps the crew guessing on whether the Romulans are attacking their ship or not. I also think Picard drawing the smiley face in the smoke is funny.

Coming of Age

An interesting idea on time distortion. It's fun to watch. It has some really funny scenes. Like when Picard panics and starts yelping like a small child. the ending is surprising enough. Of course, as always, the less you think about the logic of it all, the better of you'll be. At any rate, it's never boring.
I recommend it.

Genesis:

A group of fair-to-wonderful actors regress to highschool drama presentations of Jabberwocky as Brannon Braga tests out the writing skills that would eventually lead to the nadir of modern Trek - Threshold

Legacy

A sister of Tasha that everyone on board is starting to like, turns out to be deceitful and traitorous. Nice idea, well executed. and fully consistent with previous episodes for once. I like it.

Sarek:

A beautiful and heartbreaking story about aging and, in subtext, dementia. Mark Lenard shines as Sarek again -- wonderful to see him return. The mind-meld between Picard and Sarek is a powerful scene, and hearing Sarek's thoughts, feelings, and regrets about Spock and Amanda was moving. One of Trek's finer moments. TNG needed more Vulcans. Speaking of Vulcans...

Unification

The first half was well-written and a nice lead-up, then ... I don't know what the hell happened! They found themselves writing for THE Leonard Nimoy, wet their pants and probably caved in, under their own pressure, trying to write material "worthy" enough for him. The script is uninspired shit - just one tired cliché after another. The thrift of the episode is evident in sets, costume and make-up. Through no fault of his own, it ended up being an embarrassment, having Nimoy onboard ... not the joy it should've been.

Ensign Ro

We meet a wayward Bajoran ensign who turns out to be one of the good guys. A diamond in the rough, so to speak. Well, acted.

Menage a Troi:

A fun episode where the Troi women get kidnapped by the Ferengi from a Betazed park which I found underwhelming. Riker was with them. Riker played his poker buff to find a way out of trouble. Wesley skips going the academy because he knew a song was a signal.

Wesley was a dumbass. He could have sent Data a message to check, as he would have caught on.\

Parallels

Worf shifts through a bunch of different realities, some where he is married to Troi, some where Picard is dead and Riker is captain, and one frightening reality where Wesley is the security chief. lol Pretty good episode IMO

Descent (Part I and II)

Data gets seduced by the Dark Side and Beverly shows she can be a kick-ass starship commander.

Measure of a Man

Pinocchio's strings are finally cut.

Excellent script, superbly produced, directed and acted. This is a 2nd Season episode, by the way. Supposedly amongst the WORST seasons - haters gonna hate ... HA! Episodes like this are why TNG was so successful in its original run. "Measure of a Man" lives up to its hype. It's that good.

The Child

Troi gets knocked up by a ball of rape-y light, giving birth to a rapidly ageing "child" who wants to experience the "human experience".

Somehow the typically asinine Wesley subplot is less distasteful than the A for once

Too Short a Season

An early outing for TNG's answer to TOS's uncannily high red shirt mortality rate - behold, the phenomena of the delinquent Admiral!

The otherwise infirm Jameson is called back into action for some tough hostage negotiations and joins our heroes but all is not as it seems. Jameson is presented as a mercurial and intense figure as he strives to hoodwink our heroes and outrun his own unstable health to compensate for past misdeeds. A strong first season outing all in all, I like how Jameson's relationship with his wife is plausibly portrayed.

The Nth Degree

A Barclay's episode. They're usually good but this one is aces. Barclay makes a pass at Troi (a good one, she said herself). Enterprise gets at superwarp speed toward the planet of couch potato whacky geniuses, who are too lazy to travel throughout the galaxy and have decided to make the galaxy come to them in order to study it. All in good fun!

Datalore

Wow, you two posted at the same time. I guess I will review both!

Disaster: a fun and action packed episode with a great story. It was fun to see Troi in command(although she did seem pretty ignorant at times), as well as Picard and the children. There are so many funny and silly things happening, and it is quite enjoyable.

Datalore: A decent episode which introduces Data's evil brother, Lore. Spiner gives a great performance between the two personalities.

The Outrageous Okona

It's hard to hate this episode. Is it good? Certainly not. It's little better than an A-Team script, without the action, but I found it silly fun at 1st. So it gets a pass on being substandard

The Pegasus

Riker opens his closet only to be buried under an avalanche of dirty laundry and a skeleton in the form of his ex-captain and now 'Admiral' Eric Pressman who places such an emphasis on loyalty that's just a little suspect. Despite the nasty old Admiral trope being dragged out for the 329th time, it's a nice little TNG episode with a lot of good stuff packed into it - including real tension between Picard & Riker, some high level intrigue, we see Riker's unsavory backstory, a high stakes cat and mouse game with some slimey Romulans as well as a chic, new take on the cloaking device.

Conundrum

A classic example of why the Prime Directive exists - to keep Starfleet's big bombs out of the hands of those who would exploit them. The mission log should be required reading in the Academy.

Imaginary Friend

A poor episode, which is the latest episode in season five to feature children somehow. It was overloaded particularly with the arrival of Alexander. I find the bad child incredibly annoying.
