returning cast members and location hints for S2 American Horror Story

Re: returning cast members and location hints for S2 American Horror S

Compare the pictures at the link. Adam looks like a 99 lb weakling compared with Dylan. But the difference may simply be genetics. Not everyone is fated to be super-hot. ;)

Re: returning cast members and location hints for S2 American Horror S

James Cromwell joins the cast!
Cromwell will play the sought-after role of Dr. Arden, who works at the institution and goes head-to-head with his boss, played by Oscar winner Lange.
Wow. :D

We know two staff members - Cromwell and Lange - so who among the rest of the cast do you think will be staff, and who will be inmates? (Remember the hint that the returning actors will be playing opposites to last season's roles.)

Staff: Cromwell, Lange, Peters, Rabe.

Inmates: Sevigny, Levine, Quinto, Brocheré, Paulson.

Re: returning cast members and location hints for S2 American Horror S

Oh goodie. :D Like I said in spoiler code above a few weeks back, "anytime between the 1930s and 1960s could work, so that things can be nice and barbaric..."

Evan Peters will be "the hero of the show" in Season 2? I'm thinking, noble, crusading doctor, determined to clean up the snake pit being run by despicable Jessica Lange, a cold and sadistic disciplinarian in the Big Nurse mold.

And although Season 2 hasn't even started yet, Murphy is thinking ahead. "I even know what the third season would be," he said. "There are very, very many different kinds of haunted houses in our culture."

:rommie: Let the speculation begin! I'd love to see a Lost Colony of Roanoke story, but if not...haunted theme park!

Looking good, I think it's a great setting and a nice time period as well--the notion of being thrown into an asylum just for lifestyle choices is scary enough even before we get to the supernatural elements!!!

God I hope not. Theme parks, clowns, mimes, ventriloquists; all the great evils of the world...

Don't you want to see Jessica Lange as the Queen of the Killer Clowns? :rommie:

Ventriloquists aren't scary...their dummies are scary. Oh there's another idea, dummies, mannequins...haunted department store? Wax museum? Talking baby dolls?

Clowns are worse than the borg well except for pennywise.

Photos! These are some pretty solid hints about how the characters will shake out. Remember, "everyone is playing their opposite" this season, which means
Evan Peters is both good and sane, and therefore could be right about the alien abduction angle - is AHS going into sci fi?

Re: returning cast members and location hints for S2 American Horror S

It certainly feels that way...

Loving some of the quirky nun related images they've been releasing. Quite creepy!

Re: returning cast members and location hints for S2 American Horror S

Perhaps a Nazi ventriloquist with a clown dummy. Now that would be scary! I cannot wait for this show to start.

Re: returning cast members and location hints for S2 American Horror S

The photo of Quinto as some kind of 60s engineer type is intriguing. I thought he'd an evil doctor at the asylum, but could he be tied with the alien abduction plotline instead? Playing the young Cigarette Smoking Man role?
