How do you feel about his assessments of both shows? Is there any merrit to his assessment and feelings?
Resurrected StarShips isn't a "Professional Hater" if that's what you're worried about. What are your own answers to those questions? Why should I watch a video and probably fill my YouTube recommendations with professional haters when you can't be bothered to respond to it yourself?
Well then please share your thoughts with the class, otherwise there's no point to this thread except to promote a YouTube video.I have some thoughts on the show, but it's more generalized and I responded to him on his channel page.
Yeah I don't even want to watch the video---much less give them clicks to read your opinion, which should be here.Well then please share your thoughts with the class, otherwise there's no point to this thread except to promote a YouTube video.
You shouldn't expect people to watch a sixteen minute video to respond to the thread when you won't make the minimum effort to comment on the video yourself and set up a premise for the other posters to discuss.
From when watching tv shows has became a Zero Sum Game? What am I missing?

He does watch both "The Mandalorian" and "Star Wars".

I'm not behind these video's, I don't know the person behind it. I just find the content interesting. Now, I can't help but shake the feeling you're either behind these video's yourself or know the person behind it and post this here to generate more traffic, clicks and views to that channel. That sucks.
So, yeah..... Thanks but no thanks. I have a YouTube channel that is my general interest and hobby and has no monetization involved. I've never felt the need to randomly share my video's with a clickbaity ask under it to generate views. It's pathetic. I won't click video's in topics that feel created to do just that.
Why not?Shows should not be reviewed against each other. Not Trek v SW or Orville or even Trek v Trek
Both are major off-shoots of the two largest Star-Franchises that have HUMONGOUS fanbases. Why must it always be X VS X?
Because they are not designed from the same standpoint. Star Trek was always a show to look to the future. Remaining the same is the antithesis of Trek's foundational conceit. Star Wars is designed to evoke past films. Why not?
Because I've laid out my points on his YouTube Video page and it's nothing new or special in terms of feelings most people had.If the point is to engender discussion, why do you refuse to discuss it yourself?
There has always been competition between the two major "Star-Franchises". That hasn't changed since the 70's when they started being compared against each other. Competition has brought out better products within each respective franchises IMO.Because they are not designed from the same standpoint. Star Trek was always a show to look to the future. The two are not comparable beyond "science fiction" and even then, that's not a fair comparison.
Comparison does not engender understanding but competition.
In my opinion it has not, an has pitted two franchises against each other for no reason whatsoever. There has always been competition between the two major "Star-Franchises". Fans like to compare and contrast. Star Trek and Star Wars should have nothing to be ashamed of when comparing against each other. In my opinion it has not, an has pitted two franchises against each other for no reason whatsoever.
There is no benefit. I watch SW and ST for personal enjoyment not competition.Fans like to compare and contrast. Star Trek and Star Wars should have nothing to be ashamed of when comparing against each other.
I'm not sure the world could benefit from this pointless competition. I mean, should there be a winner? Of what exactly? There has always been competition between the two major "Star-Franchises".
Bringing in more fans to the franchise to watch more content and buy more merchandise.I'm not sure the world could benefit from this pointless competition. I mean, should there be a winner? Of what exactly?
