Restored picture of Enterprise first arrival.

Do we know the reason why two of the concentric circles on the underside of the saucer seem slightly warped at one point, as they seem to dip slightly toward the center? Was it a defect in the wood, or an eccentricity of the paint job? It's obvious in early photos of the 11 footer, as well as the current restoration.

It is a defect, but not of wood, rather the (Royalilte?) skin material and how it was molded or perhaps how it was attached to the saucer framing. I'm sure there are others who could offer more details or correct me if I'm wrong.
