Spoilers Resident Alien (2020 SyFy)

It wasn't my favorite episode of the season. I expected to spend a little more time with Heather but at the end of the episode we were right back where we were before the episode started. The only different is the Grays are watching Kate, but I think we knew that anyway. The vomiting thing was pretty gross too.
They let Kate know that removing the chip didn't help her in stopping the Grey aliens from being able to keep a watch over her, and they can get to her anytime they want.

D'arcy should leave an anonymous note, to Kate and Ben, with a copy of the video of Kate being interrogated by the Grey's orbs, saying your baby is currently safe, but if you get your baby back now or knows who has your child, it won't be safe from the Greys the next time they interrogate either of you.

Ok, so it was one thing, or at least something that we knew that was solidified. I will admit the girls when they reveled their true selves were a little creepy.

I think the one thing that I am having some trouble with this season, and this episode was a clear example of that was it's getting a little more on the "wacky" side rather than the dramedy side. Maybe it was always whacky, but there was a sense of balance in the other seasons (Minus the Heather/Harry making out stuff with bordered on Absurd to me). Maybe what this season is missing is that sense of danger that was in the other seasons? I'm still enjoying it, but this episode was a little too out there for me.

There was danger, until Heather showed up, and then there wasn't. There still are the Greys, trying to kidnap children to make more hybrids, and whatever else they use children for.

That was creepy af!

I felt so bad for Harry and Heather. It was funny and absurd as filmed, but afterwards, I was quite sad.

Judy as Champion Gravedigger was unexpected!
Maybe that's why the cookies are so addictive, it's that alien ingredient of hypnosis.

Judy is better than a backhoe.

Judy might already be the Star of the season so far. That breaking in scene was funny. Love seeing more stuff with Darcy and Judy this season.

I thought it was a better episode than last week. I wonder if Harry will actually get his alien-ness back by the end.

The series is going to end with Judy either accidentally saving the day or having known about the alien conspiracy all along and saving the day.

This was a great episode. Sets up the rest of the season nicely. Loved the dance scene and Ben and Kate got their baby back.

This is seriously one of the funniest shows currently running.

Tudyk’s physical comedy is magnificent. He should get more credit for this role. He’s really great.

My favorite character is the Sheriff. The unbelievably bizarre things that come out of his mouth every episode crack me up. Totally random.

The Mayor's wife giving up about the Sheriff's missing fuchsia post-its being at their house, and the Sheriff's reaction,"Really?" The mayor, trying and failing at looking innocent.
Harry: "Well, let's not play 'who said what?' "
"Let the record show the defendant is pointing to his penis."

On a similar note, I liked how they flipped that this week with Darcy and Judy concocting that convoluted story about the trucker stealing the money pouch, and Mike immediately saw through the horseshit and described what actually happened.

Also, Darcy and Judy's (mis)adventures are becoming a highlight of this season.

They really are setting this up as the final season. The story with Asta and her father encouraging to leave Patience had a sense of finality to it. Also like that Darcy seems serious about changing her life around and I look forward to the meeting between her and Kate and Ben. The stuff with Harry and his Father was a little predictable, but still fun, and I'm glad Kate and Ben now have confirmation that Harry's an Alien. Should be a fun 3 episode finish.

Asta talking about the interaction between Harry and his father, then makes it about her and her father.
Then Harry's comment, "That road trip started normal, but then it ran into a ditch." :guffaw:

I've been wondering that since earlier in the season when they wrote Linda Hamilton's character off the show. Between that, more characters either learning there are aliens and some even actually learning Harry is himself alien and now the stuff you mention with Asta's father considering leaving town definitely gives things a since of closing down.

Which I'll be fine with. I love this show and will miss it when it's gone, but it has maintained a solid four year run without a dip in quality at all along the way. If it has to end, this is a good time for it to end.

It was a great 4 season run. We almost didn't even get the 4th season so if they end it here I would be ok with it.
