Decent start to the season. I hate that it is Friday Nights and it's so late. USA couldn't find another day and an earlier time? Also, F WWE for not having 2 hour Smackdown episodes.

Tudyk sounded so different as Harry and the Mantid. Nice to differenciate the voice. The Kids grow up so fast. It looked like Max hit Puberty hard. What did the Grays do to Kate. That scene where it looked like she was hypnotized was kind of creepy.

For a second I thought they recast Max, then I realized he just grew that much between seasons.
This was a fun premiere. I was a lot surprised they didn't spend a little more time with the Mantid, but I'm glad they didn't drag it out. I didn't realize Clancy Brown was going to be voicing The Matid, so that was a nice little surprise. I'm a little disappointed Mike is convinced the Grey he fought was a hallucination, but I guess they must want at least one character who isn't all in on the whole aliens are real thing.
Did we see how Terry O'Quinn's character lost his legs?

Spoiler: Answer

From the discussion with the Deputy, his legs were hit by bullets, he can't tell her how (because it would put the deputy's life in danger), but probably when he escaped to go to look for his son, and were damaged. In their dialog in the cave, while he eats and spits out the food, he discusses how he thought it was over when he lost his legs. His mechanical legs are in the cave with him and are detached, probably by the tools he has in front of him.
