I have a web domain through AT&T/Yahoo!, and I'm totally fed up with them. (I've had the domain for about 4 years.) They're charging me way too much, and they don't have the services I want. My domain is set to expire in mid-April.
I've switched my web hosting to Microsoft Live, and my domain now forwards there. I've canceled my auto-renew with AT&T. When the time comes to renew my domain, how do I do it? I'm looking for a seamless transition, and I figured that someone here might have some experience with it. Thanks!
Edited to add: Okay, it looks like it won't be seamless after all. I need an "authorization code" from Yahoo! in order to make the transfer. Unfortunately, I can't get the code because I've already canceled my auto-renew. I'll have to deal with customer disservice tomorrow. (I'm all set up on the other end for the transfer. It's just on Yahoo!'s end.)
