A guy points a gun to your head and says, "I have the power to alter reality so that one episode of Star Trek - and I mean TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, or ENT - will never have been made. It will puff out of existence, but all other episodes will remain intact. You must choose a single episode to disappear from history." Somehow, you sense the guy isn't completely insane and can indeed do what he threatens.
Which episode would you choose? The obvious choice is whichever one you think is the worst, but maybe that wouldn't be your choice; might a simply bad episode is less of a target than, say, an episode with terrible character assassination, or something that violates your sense of Trek's continuity, or maybe one that is simply utterly forgettable and contributes nothing to Trek, though not necessarily 'terrible'?
Personally I'd hate to get rid of ANY Trek - even the bad stuff - because it's all part of its history and the bad doesn't so much take away from Trek as highlight the good, in my opinion. What would you choose? I have to think about my answer.
