I was going to insert a "Crazy Eddie Drive" joke. But it's only funny if your username came from a certain source.
Given that you know the source, you clearly understand that there's nothing funny about Crazy Eddie. Just ask your fyunch(click).

If I understand his thought pattern, the suggestion is that a rocket wouldn't work in the void (is) because... there would be nothing to push against for the thrust to work.
That is not how a rocket actually works.
A question I have is, how would any drive or rocket engine operate in the hole in the center of the Universe where no matter of a known type can be detected? Not even Dark Matter can be detected.
The large void is not in the center of the universe. There is no center.
If there wasn't a center of our Universe where the Big Bang occurred then we wouldn't exist because based on our own solar system model we exist because we orbit a sun. Since Einstein has proven Relativity then the relativity of the notion that our Universe would also orbit around a central source. Otherwise relativity wouldn't exist.
If the center of our Universe didn't exist then there would not see the universe expanding in all directions out from a central source either.
Where's the proof of the rocket operating the same as everywhere else?
Why wouldn't it?
If there isn't any normal matter such as stars or suns and the void is free of normal matter but unknown matter how would a rocket engine operate in an area where the normal physics applied to a rocket engine operating do not exist?
A rocket engine is a process of creating an acceleration factor to escape the pull of gravity. How can the rocket engine create the process of acceleration to escape gravity when none of the objects present in the Void that create gravity are present or exist?
