Remastered "The Cage"- REALLY "in its entirety"?

Geez, nobody went to the time and expense to colorize any Cage footage. That would have been tantamount to the work to do the new CG footage at that time.

Yeah, the original unedited cut of "The Cage" runs about 64 minutes long without commercials and syndication trims. So that would mean that TOS-R would have to create a special 90-minute slot for the episode in order to air the original pilot complete and intact, and we all know CBS/Paramount won't lose valuable ad time by doing that.

Recent? It's bloody twenty years old! And shown before Encounter at Farpoint for the first time.
Actually, no. It aired before the premiere of TNG's second season, not its first. In fact, it was a 2-hour special at the time with some scenes and recaps from TNG's first season. Patrick Stewart was the host. So, technically, it's "19 years old" (even though it's REALLY 42 or so years old). ;)

If you're only dating from when the all-colour "The Cage" had its TV premiere.

When 3D Master says "shown before Encounter at Farpoint for the first time", that would definitely be true for Australia. Here, we got "A Star Trek Saga: From One Generation to the Next" immediately followed by the TV premiere of "Encounter at Farpoint" (after Season One had had its debut on first-release sell-thru VHS)... and the next four weeks the network aired selected Season Two episodes, before returning to Season One's regular first run.

Exactly. The age of the footage is much different than the time since its broadcast debut. :)
