Remastered episodes of TOS!

What does the term remastered mean, does it mean parts of dialog that were edited out were included in the remastered version? Sort of like a director's cut!

It can mean that, yes, particularly now-adays where there is more time reserved for adverts than there was in the 60's. The coloring of the film is boosted, sound tracks are cleaned up, grain and scratches removed and all VFX shots are replaced with CG shots. At least, as it applies to TOS. Still hoping for a similar treatment on TOS BSG.

^ John Dykstra's FX for the original BSG wern't bad, the problem was that they kept using the same shots over and over and over.

^^^ Agreed. State of the art for their time (at least, like you said, for the pilot). I know Zoic did up complete models for TOS ships including the Big G (from Lee Stringer) which could easily be used for a remaster project. If they ever decide to do it, I just only hope they keep the more cinematic choreography of TOS intact as opposed to the shakeycam "Cinema Verite" look. I think that would be quite jarring for the old series.
