Or going by the Buried Age, Q is a singular being and equally childlike as Trelane among a community of beings that all evolved naturally to reach the "Continuum" or where ripped from the mortal world and made energy far too early in their development.
It's a refugee camp for those no longer in possession of a physical existance, making the best of their eternity together.

True, though they still qualify as "superior" in the evolutionary sense. Q can be a jerk, but I can't help it, I love him, especially when he messes with adorable pastel ponies.

The Q as far as we know, same as all the other energy beings, are part of the natural universe. They are the product of natural processes, even if they have the abilities to manipulate the rest of it.
That makes them not deities in my definition.
Stating that you believe the universe is a lot crazier than people think and there is a lot more to discover, does not equal a notion that there is something supernatural out there.

There's been a lot of grief going back and forth in this debate, but I cite these three in particular because you a) publicly threaten to report your opponent's posts despite doing the exact same things they are doing to you (calling your arguments ignorant, which is fine), b) claim to not be insulting anyone while insinuating that they're uneducated in the very same post (among other insults from posts which I didn't quote), and c) publicly announcing you're putting people on ignore, which is also a no no.
Knock it off or you'll get an infraction, and other people need to chill out too. If you absolutely must comment on this, do so via PM and not in the thread, but I will remind you that nothing has actually happened yet, so please don't treat this like you already were punished or something. I almost always regret just giving a friendly warning first because I seem to get more grief for that than when I give an actual infraction.

Do you see me debating things like what Muslims or Jews eat? No, that's just how they live according to their religion.

Ah, but while I understand you're simply espousing your point of view regarding your faith, from our perspective, your statement is akin to saying "It's not that I hate black people, I don't, but I cannot condone their skin color. It's an affront to God." Someone being gay is who they are. It's not a lifestyle choice, it's not something you can choose, like a religion, it is a part of their very existence. To deny them that, and to condemn that as if they have a choice in the matter, or to demand that they abstain from being who they are in order to assuage the needs of your particular faith, is frowned upon, and for good reason.
