Hi again, I've got my trekkie groove back after burning out on it and I'm back modelling stuff, so I thought it would be a good idea to share it with a trek art forum. Over the past few months I've dusted off some old models that I thought could do with a bit more refinement. I've also worked on some other stuff that I didn't get around to the first time round, most notably the bridge interior model.
The original art thread is here: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/reliant-an-early-earth-starship.292329/
To illustrate, this is the first version, done years ago now. I've found it rewarding to use this ship model to gradually improve my techniques over time:
Reliant exterior redone:
One more shot with moodier lighting:
Here's the shuttlepod redone. The model is about ready, still got to do the texturing though:
Interior bridge set, again the modelling is more or less complete, but needs texturing:
Finally some planetary stuff. I think I'll be doing more of this kind of stuff over the next few weeks, to keep things varied and hopefully stave off creative burnout:
Hope you like the images so far!
