I wonder why they just don't contract those outside of the UK. With the GBP being so much higher then other world currencies, they could certainly barter a great deal with the likes of some of the more prominent japanese animation companies and do some really great animation work..?

The Japanese studios would still be far to expensive for their budget. Especially from one of the prominent studios.
