:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Think there's been a thread on this already, and by the way, it's not 40 minute episodes, it's 30 minute, just like they always were. Just now it's on a channel with adverts.

It did'nt really mention her in the article I read. I hope so to she's a hottie.
and for those who have'nt seen "back to earth" yet it's on youtube now all three parts. and kera here in dallas is all so playing it.

If Rob Grant returns, I'm interested. If not, I'll watch anyway, but with expectations suitably lowered.

I had a chance to watch the entire original series and Back to Earth in its entirety for the first time and I greatly enjoyed it (except for the final episode of Series 8 which seemed to be a 90-minute episode squashed down to 25 minutes).

I'm looking forward to seeing the new season. It's interesting to note that in terms of using original cast members decades after the show began, Red Dwarf is in a class only with Star Trek TOS. I also would love to see Chloe Annett come back, but I don't know if she's even still acting. Incidentally, her other SF series, Crime Traveller (which debuted the same week the finale of Series VII aired), is on DVD and I recommend it if you can find it.

who was the russian holo grham chick?

A figment of their imaginations, as it turned out.

Oy, I should have such an imagination!

I'll take any Red Dwarf, god or bad. Bad Dwarf is better than all the crap that gets churned out nowadays.

Sophie Winkle.

She starred in the incredibly short lived romantic sitcom 100 Questions, which I soon realized was just the left over unfilmed scripts from US Coupling (They wrote a few episodes themselves in combination with stealing the English scripts.) when I noticed that they were still using the same (Bar) set from Coupling in 100 Questions, not that the producer of a hundred questions wasn't an actor on US Coupling.

There have been a few other cases. There was a long series of Perry Mason TV movies from 1985-95 that brought back Raymond Burr and Barbara Hale from the original series; that was a much longer interval between original and revival than Red Dwarf had. One could make a case for The Sarah Jane Adventures as well. There was the '88 Mission: Impossible revival that brought back Peter Graves, though other original cast members only made occasional guest appearances. And there was a '60s Gene Barry show called Burke's Law that had a one-season revival in the '90s with Barry resuming the lead role, now teamed with his character's son.

Other, briefer examples: There were three TV movies/backdoor pilots bringing back the cast of the bionic shows from the '70s, and three Gilligan's Island reunion movies/backdoor pilots with most of the original cast, and three Incredible Hulk revival movies (two of which were backdoor pilots, but for other Marvel superheroes). And there have been various one-shot TV movies (often from the same producer as the bionic ones) doing the same with other old shows like The Man from UNCLE, I Spy, McCloud, and the like. Get Smart had three separate revivals which all starred Don Adams, a feature film, a TV movie, and a short-lived FOX sitcom, though the TV movie was the only one to bring back the entire surviving cast.

You left off the "man", it's Sophie Winkleman
