Recommendation on Trek RPGs

I tihnk Star Trek adventures is worth thinking about. However it find it not "rules light". On paper the rules sound very complex albeit they do get easier with usage. The material is presented in TNG-LCARS-style and the default setting is the TNG era. So that might be a fit.

I’ve always been partial to FASA. Then again, I’m old. :D. I tried some of the others that came later but it never captured the same magic. I eventually wound up converting a White Wolf character sheet for Trek purposes, later expanding to the Battlestar Galactica universe and it worked really well.

My RPG style has always been 50% FASA*, 50% PIDOOMA**

*My players seemed to find percentage chances easier to understand than other dice-rolling schemes - and so did I

**Pulled It Directly Out Of My Ass. By that I mean the story was paramount (PUN!), so if I had to fudge dice rolls or make a scene go faster to keep my more casual players - all of them - from getting bored, I would do that.

I've always said "It is your game" you use the play style that suits it. Rules heavy, rules light.
