Recommend to me some old TV shows

^^^If I recall correctly, this was a series of episodes on the Disney show, entitle The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh. McGoohan played Rev. Dr. Syn, who disguised him as a scarecrow to fight the revenuers on behalf of the smugglers.

I would have liked to have recommended a sketch TV Show I was watching earlier this evening, as being very funny, but unfortunately the male lead just inappropriately used the N-Word, and I'm not sure if we can tolerate such brazen racial profanity being thrown about in mixed company or in the ear shot of younger viewers.

The Richard Pryor Show has no idea what it means to be politically correct in our modern world.

An edited version had a theatrical run in Britain as Dr. Syn, Alias the Scarecrow before the US television airing, but produced for (and shown as a three-parter on) Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color in 1963. Really good atmosphere.
