Recommend an 80's movie

There are a lot of 80s movies I enjoy. Here are just a few that I haven't seen mentioned.

- The Porky's films
- Revenge of the Nerds
-
The first few Police Academy films
- Stripes
- Ghost Busters
- The Transformers: The Movie
- The Terminator
- Aliens
- Escape from New York
- Fletch
- National Lampoons Vacation
- Conan the Barbarian

Road House

Some good life lessons from Patrick Swayze in that one like, "No one wins in a fight." Plus some music from Jeff Healy. And one of the best ridiculous villains of the decade.

Not mentioned yet:

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension

Television:
Cheers
The Cosby Show
Growing Pains
Knight Rider
Roseanne
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Transformers
The Wonder Years

Movies:
Airplane!
Aliens
Back to the Future
Beverly Hills Cop I and II
Big
The Breakfast Club
A Christmas Story
Die Hard
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Ghostbusters
Pretty in Pink
Sixteen Candles
Some Kind of Wonderful
St. Elmo's Fire
Stand By Me
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Terminator

Weird Science

The 80s had some awesome movies. A few picks:

Weekend at Bernies - nothing more fun than a dead guy being hit on the head repeatedly. The setting is pure 80s, from the concept to the clothes to the houses.

Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop, Coming to America - a triad of movies from when Eddie Murphy was still awesomely funny.

Top Gun - iconic 80s movie, and one the most quotable of all-time.

The Secret of my Success, Wall Street - two very different, but surprisingly complementary, takes on making lots of money, a key theme of the 80s.

Predator, Aliens, Terminator, Running Man - classic 80s sci-fi

Die Hard, Lethal Weapon - revitalised both their genres completely

SW: ESB, Romancing the Stone - two big blockbuster action-adventure romances, something the 80s did very well.

Ferris Bueller, Back to the Future, Teen Wolf - perhaps odd to group these together, but they all share a theme of a teenager coming into adulthood as a backdrop to brilliant comedy. Teen Wolf is also a pick, because it feels so 80s.

Heathers - to round off the list, a late 80s film that presages changing attitudes as we move towards the 90s.

Beyond the obvious stuff that everyone will put (Raiders.., Star Wars, Terminator, Aliens etc) -

Das Boot (1981)
Blade Runner (1982)
Brazil (1985)
Ferris Beuler's Day Off (1986)
Platoon (1986)
Full Metal Jacket (1987)
They Live! (1988)

Let's see...

"Back To the Future"
"Planes, Traines, and Automobiles" (something I love to watch every November, if at all possible -- not been so for a few years now)
"Ferris Bueller's Day Off"
"Explorers"
"Something Wicked This Way Comes"
"The Journey of Natty Gann"
"Jaws"
"Ghostbusters"
"Pee Wee's Big Adventure"
"Terminator" (then waztch T2, but skip the rest of them and that TV series)
"The Untouchables"
"Spaceballs"
"The Brave Little Toaster"
"Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure "
"The Lost Boys"
"Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins..."
"Predator"
"Salem's Lot" (original TV mini series)
Indiana Jones (all three of the films; the 4th newest one is blahsphemy ... though the second wasn't much better)
"Coming to America"
"The Princess Bride"
"E.T."
Also, there something called Star ... Heck? Something about some guy named "Khan" and having wrath against somebody else. Don't know -- sounds like a stinker. ;-)

I'm guessing every movie I'm about to list has been posted here due to their popularity, so there's gonna be some reiteration going on.

The Burbs
The Goonies
Real Genius
Ghostbusters
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Wargames
Back to the Future
Monster Squad
Top Gun
Lethal Weapon(s)

Three pages of comments and no one has mentioned the original 1984 Karate Kid? Well I'm correcting that oversight now.

Apart from Back to the future, Star Wars, and all the Star treks:

'The Hunger',

A bit slow, but a good aging scene, with David Bowie as a vampire.
