so being on this set, specifically the set I was on, which I’m not allowed to talk about, made me cry.

Can't wait to see that, and the resulting and predictable uproar from the detractors.

Well a bridge set was confirmed in an instagram post.

And there is a redesigned Captain's chair in the opening credits.

Of course, we are all aware of that. But hearing her say it, and the emotions she felt being there, makes it suddenly very real! It also suggests that the bridge is a faithful recreation (subject to 21st century aesthetics). She grabbed my attention!

I think the Discovery bridge will probably be closer to the original series bridge than the Kelvin verse bridge.

Maybe the refit that the Enterprise is currently undergoing will explain the differences in the bridge in between The Cage and Where No Man Has Gone Before. No more paper printouts!

I feel like the bridge will be shown near the very end of the season. They'll make us wait.

Also because I don't think they have a lot of room, so it would be a temporary set.

It will be closer. But it will not be as close as the one in “Trials and Tribbleations” or “In a Mirror, Darkly”, which will not be good enough for some dudes. I am sure I will like it.
I think I will be fine with the changes to the bridge, if any. I was fine with the redesign of the exterior of the ship and I'm fine with the redesign of the uniforms as well.

They did a good job with the unforms and exterior of the ship, familiar but updated.

Hopefully we get the same with the bridge, instantly recognizable as the bridge of the enterprise, but modernized

I wonder how much of it will be green-screen?
Perhaps They only built the chair and what's directly behind it like was done in "RELICS".

No... It won't look like a 1960s set. And it is a physical set, not green-screen (if it was just the chair surrounded by green screens, why would that bring RR to tears?).

Rest assured, it will look like the classic Enterprise bridge, updated for 21st century audiences and effects. But it WILL most definitely be recognizable as the Enterprise bridge, just as the DISC Enterprise is most definitely recognizable as the classic NCC-1701.

Fans will get to know a bit about Number One in this episode. “I want to help unfold this character because we didn’t get to know enough,” said Romijn in an interview with SyFy. “She knows her shit, and I kind of want her to be like, a broad, like a fast-talkin’ dame. It’s slightly period, the Enterprise obviously was in the ’60s, and so the look of my character is of that era, slightly, which I love. It’s fun to keep discovering things about a character that we didn’t get to know enough about the first time around.”

From this description, including the part I bolded, I like this Number One already.

Georgiou might possibly have some competition for the title of my favorite character.
