I know, I know. Essentially that´s off-topic. On the other hand it is not as we were talking about real life jobs and Star Trek and Rock `n´ Roll. Iggy Pop is both Rock Star and appeared in "Magnificent Ferengi"/DS9. So there is still a connection .

Star Trek needs more Rock, from what we've seen those poor people live in a cultural wasteland where there is so little to choose from that they were fooled into believing swing/lounge music is something good.

I'd be at the helm on a nightshift while on a starship . It can't be too hard because you never heard of those guys getting into too much trouble while Kirk, Picard, Archer or Janeway was in their quarters. Also, I would also tell all the alien babes on every planet that I'm the captain of a starship, and I'd sneak them aboard and allow them to pilot the ship at night. 'Cause that's how I roll.
