Real-world job in Star Trek

What colour shirt would you be wearing? (TNG-era colours)

I am a singer on Bourbon Street. In TNG, I'd be a holodeck/holosuite program. LOL

How about a duet with Vic Fontaine  ("The best is yet to come" or something else)

Well, my holodeck program would probably have a great time performing with Vic, since a holodeck character can just have songs programmed into them. (easier than learning songs the old fashioned way....hahahaha)

But alas, in real life I am a rock and roll singer, so I would probably be of limited appeal on the holodeck/holosuite. :)

Well speaking for myself I'd rather listen/watch a rock act perform than a Frank Sinatra-esque lounge singer (:barf:)

So I for one would probably rather buy your holodeck program and just run the Vick Fontaine one to kick him in the 'nads.

You might like my signature .

Remind me never to sing "Volare". :D

Indeed, I do! :)

Aerospace engineer here. I design spacecraft, so my 24th century analogue wouldn't necessarily be in Starfleet (like Leah Brahms), but I'd certainly take a yellow shirt just to get out in space!

I'd be a civilian engineer, a chief petty officer at most, or a civilian pilot. Hand me my civvies.

Just listen to that. If you ask yourself what these guys have to do with Star Trek: normally nothing, but the two front singers attended once a movie premiere of one of the Abrams movies. :)

Coolness! I'd have to say that is probably the most eclectic looking and sounding band I've heard in quite a while.

And cool that the two singers are apparently into Star Trek.

It is not often you see bands with two lead or front singers any more.
On Bourbon Street, it is a necessity, because we are on stage for anywhere from 4 to 6 hours in a night....and doing that 3-5 nights a week can be extremely wearing and tearing on one's voice. :)

Just to prove it (it´s in German, but nonetheless): the tattoed one is Alec Voelkl (aka Boss Burns aka Alec Tricity) and the taller one Sascha Vollmer (aka Hoss Power). Sometimes they are criticized for their fake American accent, but that belongs to the show. Feel free to check out The Bosshoss on YouTube, especially their "Hey Ya" cover.
