Just be sure to try and stick with SG1 at least through the second season. It starts off kinda rough, but don't let season one chase you off.

Seconded! Thought it was a cheap Quantum Leap knock-off but I was sooooo wrong! Far more sophisticated. Starred the actor that is currently playing Dr Owen on Grey's Anatomy.
