Spoilers Ready Room with Wil Wheaton

This new after series is what I wanted, some short interviews along with several pre-recorded shorts! The long format interview after show didn't work as well for me.

Just watched the one for the first episode. I like Wheaton better then previous hosts for these post episode talk shows. I especially liked the segment on recording of the main theme, liked the theme better when I heard it here.

I kinda miss After Trek's set though
The set and the props YES..........and bless his little heart Matt is a good guy but came across manic and frantic for a long time. He had settled in by the end of the season and I think they should have given him another shot vs gamer gal for season 2. Hell I would have been geeking out too if given the job, so I can relate to his excitement.

contagious but not over the top.

Perfectly said. This was what rubbed me wrong about After Trek. The host, bless him -- I believe he was genuinely excited -- but it was over-the-top and shallow enough in presentation that it never felt quite "from the heart" to me. More... corporate.

I'm bumping this thread in case anyone wants to use it to post clips of this season's Ready Room segments going forward.

Much as I don't want this to become the forum with way too damned many pinned threads, I think I'll go ahead and pin this one so it doesn't get lost again.

Naomi Kyle is cool. And plenty busy with all sorts of projects. She did a great job with the previous format. But I think Wheaton's is the first one that fires on all cylinders without feeling entirely like the advertisement it technically is.

Not necessarily just because of Wheaton, either; the whole thing feels more comfortable than the iteration Kyle starred on, and certainly more so than the first season of Discovery's.
